Wow this is so thorough and helpful and awesome. I have an old TR1510 which is a bizarre model but I appreciate your interest in the so called obsolete. Been restoring Mimeos and other duplicators on and off for a few years and it is a special collective brainstorm process that is necessarily challenging and political and social. Looking forward to the Post Obsolesence book!
Oh yes! I love the little tabletop models. I got to do some repairs on one for the first time earlier this year. They are quite a design! I haven't worked on a mimeo yet, but there's one in a stairwell due for a clean—we hope to mimeo a slipcover for the final version of the Post-Obsolescence book!
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I am friends with a local print shop and they recently gifted me their old GR3770. Not a ton of anecdotal, current info online (mostly just the tech manuals which are helpful but not so much for a newbie like me, yet), so I am so appreciative of you taking the time to write about these old machines. I may have more questions for you later if you don’t mind. Thank you again.
